Many of SANN’s members are studying nursing courses in GCU and utilizing this opportunity. SANN encourages all nurses to use this unique opportunity of resources for their carrier development. SANN is sponsoring 8 children in Nepal for their education through Uplift a Child. SANN started this sponsorship in 2013 and has committed to sponsor these children until the 12th grade. SANN encourages all members of SANN to participate in this worthwhile cause of education to make a real difference for a child.

SANN’s members have been volunteering at the Free Medical Clinic run by American Nepalese Women Association in greater Washington, D.C. (ANWA) since it was first created in 2007. Under the Free Medical Clinic umbrella, SANN’s active members have volunteered many hours for organizing the George Washington University Mamovan Mammogram service in the D.C. metro area to those who do not have health insurance.

SANN participated in the Walk for Nepal in the April of 2013 in Washington, D.C. organized by Nepalko Yuwa and fundraised US $3500.00 for the Senior Citizens Home Project in Nepal run by Nurses Association of Nepal. SANN won a prize of $500.00 for mobilizing the largest number of donors and walkers out of the list of all the participating charitable organizations in the Walk for Nepal.

SANN is collaborating with the Blood Donors of America for the noble cause of blood donation in many states in the USA. There are many frequent drives happening all over the U.S.

SANN is working for Nepal Seniors Project primarily focusing in Maryland and Virginia as a pilot project run by a collaborative effort of SANN, Nepal Senior Citizens organization and Nepal Pachha Pucha Americaya.

SANN is working together with America Nepal Medical Foundation to send volunteers nurse for helping the victims of Nepal Earthquake disaster.
